Here are your need-to-knows
What is Delta-8?
Think of Delta-8 as CBD’s and Delta-9’s chill cousin
Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as Δ8THC, is one of the many cannabinoids that occur naturally in cannabis plants. Both Δ9 THC and Δ8 THC are biosynthesized in the cannabis plant in a similar way via the precursor cannabinoid CBGA. The main chemical difference between the two is Δ8 THC has a double bond on the 8th carbon chain and Δ9 THC is on the 9th carbon chain.
Is Delta-8 Psychoactive?
Yes, it’s user-specific!
Similar to CBD, Δ8 also binds to the receptors in the endocannabinoid and nervous system. Users have reported clear-headed, anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), and non-sedative effects. Like Delta-9 THC, Δ8 can have psychoactive effects although the level depends on one’s tolerance and their own body. Users also claim that the effects tend to have a lower intensity in comparison to Δ9. Remember how the location of the double bond in Δ8 is in a slightly different location from Δ9? Because of this slight difference, Δ8 binds less tightly to the CB1 receptors essentially decreasing its potential for higher potency. This makes Delta-8 a more easy-going, approachable cannabinoid, great for day use. If you are an avid Delta-8 user, just like Delta-9, you can build a tolerance over time.
What are the Potential Benefits of D8?
Δ8 is purported to decrease anxiety levels and does not produce the same anxious side effects that some Δ9 users may experience. It is also considered to be a greater appetite stimulant than Delta-9 and produces a similar pattern of reduced inflammation as CBD. Δ8 users also claim to enjoy the benefits of focused thinking, creativity, relaxation, and uplifting moods.
Is it Legal?
Beware than any level of THC intake may result in a failed drug test, including the use of CBD.
While Delta-8-THC is federally legal, several states have additional restrictions which we respectfully abide by. We currently do not ship to the following states:
